Biosketch

She is a Professor-Researcher at the Department of Law of the University of Monterrey and a Level 1 National Researcher within the National System of CONAHCYT Researchers (Mexico). Additionally, she holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of the Republic, currently on leave, and is a Level 1 Associate Researcher within the National Researchers System (Uruguay). She also serves as a Promotion Exam Tutor at the Artigas Institute of the Foreign Service (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Uruguay). She obtained her Doctorate in International Relations (cum laude) from the National University of La Plata (Argentina) and completed her Postdoctoral studies at the Institute of Human Rights and Enterprises of the University of Monterrey (Mexico).

She is a member of several associations, including the International Studies Association (ISA), the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL), the International Network of Jurists for American Integration (RIJIA), and TradeExperettes, among others. Her primary research areas include investor-State dispute resolution, business and human rights, regionalism, Mercosur, multilateralism, and the didactics of International Relations and International Law. Notably, she has authored numerous publications, such as "Back to sovereignty? Policy space in investor-State dispute settlement" (Brasileira de Política Internacional Journal, 2022), and "Calvo Doctrine and the South American mosaic: Members, dissidents and an outsider" in Droubi, S. and Flores Elizondo, C. (2022) "Latin America and international investment law. A mosaic of resistance" published by Manchester University Press.
