Biosketch
Bachelor’s Degree in Cultural Anthropology, Master’s Degree in Sociocultural Anthropology, Doctoral Degree in Creation and Theory of Culture at Universidad de las Americas, Puebla (UDLAP). Her areas of investigation are: masculinity and labor migration, masculinity and mining, masculinity and sport, masculinity and alcohol consumption, masculinity and violence. In 2014, her Bachelor’s thesis “My Truck and I”: Masculinity and Migration in Chalchihuites, Zacatecas was awarded the Fray Bernardino de Sahagun Prize from the National Institute of Anthropology (INAH) for best research in the fields of ethnology and social anthropology, as well as the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize granted by the National Women’s Institute (INMUJERES) for the most distinguished thesis in the field of gender studies.
